Just completed the Defensive I course and it’s certainly a must do for CCW folks. Even if you don’t have a CCW, take it anyways. Mike has a great system down to teach you the fundamentals and a few different live fire scenarios in which you’ll encounter drawing from holster. He takes the time to explain how and why you do something. Even with a larger class, he was able to monitor and give tailored instruction to improve your form. Looking forward to taking the Defensive II course!

I’ve bought firearms and shot here many times over the past couple of years, the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Most recently I took Defensive Level 1 class, which if you conceal carry I highly recommend. The instructor Mike was great, the class room portion was really informative but the live fire shooting from concealment was awesome, I’ve never had the opportunity to train shooting from concealment and I was shocked on the difficulty of doing so and being accurate and smooth, I realized I need to train more. I will definitely be taking Defensive Level 2.

Being a middle aged woman who had never fired a hand gun, figured it was never to late to learn. I decided my comfort zone would be best suited, by taking private lessons at Fletchers focusing on gun basics. My instructor, Mike Oliver a Marine, is truly an expert in everything related to firearms. Being a former teacher, I recognize a good one when I see one. You couldn’t ask for a better instructor! Not only is he very knowledgeable, perceptive, and articulate… it’s his quick wit and sarcasm that kept me coming back! He enjoys working with new shooters, which is evident as he genuinely listens and observes to give best lesson possible, while answering my multitude of questions. I enjoy his real life analogies, for further understanding. If you love war movie references… this is the instructor for you! Mike’s no nonsense demeanor, with emphasis on safety and not being complacent, is vital to this businesses success, along with numerous classes they offer.
I recently purchased a gun at Fletchers and have appreciated my interaction with the other staff too. Craig, Brian, Ryan and Amber have all been extremely professional yet very
pleasant to talk to…making each visit enjoyable. I look forward to much more range time and lessons in near future!

A few of us girls decided we wanted to learn how to shoot a gun. So we got a lesson, I believe with Mike, to show us the basics of holding a gun, safety, and even how the gun itself works. So glad we did that! One of us even found out that even though she’s a righty, she shoots as a lefty! Mike was very knowledgeable and super funny. He made the whole process fun and engaging. After the class we got to try out three different guns. Easy to say we all loved the biggest one and hated the smallest cutest one that most girls think they want lol.
I definitely recommend this place, especially if you’re a beginner like we all were.

Tonight I had the distinct pleasure of sitting in a class. Mike the instructor was so great! He was informative, knowledgeable, and open to each student’s ability level. Kept the class moving without sacrificing learning. Overall, great class with class because Mike made it easy and fun with care for safety. Really impressed!

Lesson with Mike O. Learned a lot. Thank you, Mike. Recommend Fletcher Arms to anyone interested in learning gun safety and range work.

I was up from Florida and took the 10 June 2018 Basic Pistol Course with my relatives. Mike was entertaining, informative and DEFINITELY a master of the subject matter. The female in our group was reticent about guns, and wasn’t going to shoot, but she moved from fear to success in a two hour span. She did shoot (and pretty well at that) and may go back this week. I’m not sure how it could have gone much better so Kudos to Mike and Fletcher Arms!

Have had nothing but excellent experiences with staff, the range, a weapon sale and a weapon purchase, and two classes. They have the right people to train, Mike Oliver, former military badass teaches with a sense of humor but takes it seriously when it comes to the fundamentals. Cant say enough, highly recommended

I took the Introduction to Pistol Shooting class with Mike, and I definitely got my money’s worth. Topics were gone over well, in an easy to understand way, and my comfort level around guns increased with this class. Knowledgeable staff is important, and those that I interacted with today really know their stuff.
